About Us Our Heritage
Merronbrook was established in 1964 and has nearly 50 years’ experience in the Engineered Wood Products (EWP) industry. Starting out as a joinery business, this family run firm soon started developing prefabricated timber frame house kits and has honed a reputation for cost-effective and high-end products, alongside excellent customer service. In fact, Merronbrook has become so successful in this field that we now even sell timber frames back to Scandinavia. Today, the business is overseen by Alex and Phil Duff and continues to grow from strength to strength.

Our current home provides the perfect combination of connectivity and seclusion and the Duff family have
been manufacturing in some form here since the 1960s. The site has an industrial heritage spanning 400 years and is the setting of a former clay pit and brick making works, evidence of which can still be seen in and around the location today. These days, however, sees a much more streamlined and modern set-up that comprises two main yards and a production area. Incorporated within these are our trussed rafters and easi-joist® facilities, our engineered floor joist factory, which was established in 2008 and a timber frame production line. With steady financial management we continue to carefully invest
in our site, offices, workshops and equipment. As the business grows we are bringing employment to the local area and an edge that our competitors struggle to match.
